AIでググる？

以前、ちらっと新規サービスの予告を行いましたが・・・

という事で今日のブログですが、ちょっと時事ネタを書きたいと思います。

最近、職場でもAIに関する話題に事欠きません。コーディングや分析、資料作成まで、普通にAIを使うようになってきました。一昔前は、何か調べる必要がある時には「とにかくネットでぐぐる」だったのが、今や「とにかくAIに質問する」という状態です。

そんな中、2025年9月9日、Googleもついに「AIモード」の日本語での提供が開始されました。もしかしたら気が付いていない方がいるかもしれませんが、Google検索の画面に「AIモード」というボタンが表示されていると思います。また、通常の検索結果の画面でも「すべて」や「画像」というタブに並んで「AI モード」というタブが表示されているかもしれません。

そこで「AIモードは無料？」と聞いてみました。

はい、Google検索の「AIモード」は無料で利用できます。
2025年5月時点で、個人用のGoogleアカウントを持つすべてのユーザーが追加費用なしでこの機能を利用できます。
ただし、注意すべき点がいくつかあります。

AIモードと有料プランの違い
AIモード（無料）: AIによる検索結果の要約（AIによる概要）や、対話形式での情報探索といった基本的なAI機能が提供されます。
プレミアムプラン（有料）: Google Oneのプレミアムプランに加入することで、AIモードの標準機能を超えた高度なAI機能（例：高度なデータ分析、より複雑な計画ツール、特別なエージェント機能など）が利用できるようになります。

もうひとつ、「画像生成は可能？」という質問をしてみました。

はい、Google AIで画像生成は可能です。Googleは複数の画像生成AIツールを提供しており、無料で利用できるものも多いです。
主な無料ツール
Gemini: This large language model from Google has a function that generates images from text.
Features: The AI creates an image when you request an image to be generated with text. As of 2025, the number of images that can be generated per day is limited with the free plan, but it is possible to generate high-performance images.
ImageFX: This is a tool specialized in image generation, provided by “Google AI Test Kitchen,” an experimental AI tool group provided by Google.
Features: In addition to text input, the generated images are embedded with a digital watermark called “SynthID,” so they can be identified as AI-generated images.
Google Cloud AI: Although for developers, image generation from text is also possible with “Vertex AI” on Google Cloud, and free credits are offered to new users.
Notes on use
Restrictions on free use: Services that can be used for free may have restrictions on the number of images that can be generated and the models that can be used.
Possibility of data usage: The prompts entered and the generated images may be used for AI learning, so care should be taken not to enter personal information or confidential information.
To try image generation
The easiest way to try it is to access Gemini and tell the content you want to generate images in a chat format. For example, if you give instructions such as “Create a delicious photo of fried chicken,” the AI will generate an image.
